This SKD 100 model of disc brake consists of two symmetrical halves between the support structure with variable thicknesses. They can be mounted to accommodate any brake disc thickness and offer a braking force directly proportional to the applied pressure.

The braking force of the SKD 100 disc brake goes up to: 129200 N. Both halves of the  brake have two cylindrical guide pins. These then transmit the tangential braking-force from the brake lining to the brake housing and the mounting stand. So therefore the brake pistons are not subject to radial forces, giving you a much longer brake life.

When pressure is released, two springs on each brake half-retract the brake pads from the disc. And with increased piston stroke, brake lining wear is compensated.
