Airflex | Clutch Brake Packages
The Airflex clutch/brake combinations have drum-type CB or VC clutches that are air-applied and fixed to bearing-mounted flywheels. The clutch/flywheel is combined with drum-type CS and CTE or disc-type DBA and DBB, air-released/spring-applied brakes.
While designed mainly for use in a punch-press, they can be used in all cyclic equipment.
Clutch capacity reaches: 516,000 lb·in, 58.260 N·m.
Brake capacity reaches: 336,200 lb·in, 37.960 N·m
Applications on which it is used: Can-making machines, Press-brakes, Shears, Stamping/forming presses.
